Ulaanbaatar and Istanbul are to expand cooperation.
Ulaanbaatar and Istanbul are to expand cooperation. Several memorandums of understanding were signed during the recent visit of the Mayor of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to Ulaanbaatar opening up more cooperation opportunities between the two cities. Accordingly, the cities agreed to implement ‘Tuul pool’ project, which will help increase drinking water source and improve waste management in Ulaanbaatar. Ulaanbaatar tourism representative office is agreed to be opened in Istanbul and promote tourism possibilities of Mongolia. Moreover, the cities will cooperate on "Mongol Naadam" complex in Ulaanbaatar, urban planning, ger-area re-planning, introduction of new technology to produce meat and milk products, establishment of Turkish small and medium-sized industrial town as well as supporting investment in tourism sector.
