Dry coal processing plant to be built in Gobi region
Mining Ministry of Mongolia and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization of Japan signed a memorandum of understanding on establishing a test plant for enriching coal with dry technology. Under the document, the sides plan to build a test plant with the capacity for concentrating 300,000 tons of coal annually.

Under the document, the sides plan to build a test plant with the capacity for concentrating 300,000 tons of coal annually. The dry coal technology is of significant economic importance for the Mongolian Gobi region, where water resources are limited. It replaces the existing coal preparation technologies which require large amount of water.
