Mongolia and Russia work to boost relations
Mongolia and Russia signed an agreement of med-term program to develop strategic partnership. The agreement was signed during the April 14 official visit of Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Lavrov to Mongolia.
Mongolia and Russia signed an agreement of med-term program to develop strategic partnership. The agreement was signed during the April 14 official visit of Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Lavrov to Mongolia. The agreement is believed to be a gear to overcome issues concerning the bilateral economic ties that have gone unresolved in recent years, and to expand further the bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian, and international spheres over the next five years. Mongolian President Mr. Elbegdorj praised the agreement, saying it would bring the bilateral friendly relations and cooperation to a higher level. The two countries also reaffirmed their commitment on the China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor project. The Russian Minister Mr. Lavrov said “We consider it very important to apply efforts in fulfilling of the roadmap on development of cooperation between the three countries, as well as in soonest finalizing of the program on the economic corridor, which could be presented for further approval to the leaders on the fringes of the this year's Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tashkent."
