Mongolia works to set one more Guinness record.
Mongolia works to set one more Guinness record. Natives of eastern Mongolian Khentii province are creating a story of “The Secret History of the Mongols” on a 1.8- meter wide and 100-meter long felt tapestry to set a Guinness World Record. It is also a move to publicize traditional Mongolian quilting and stitching methods. Felt is an intrinsic part of traditional Mongolian dwelling, the ger. The felt tapestry, designated to cover the walls of the ger, will be embedded with the images representing Mongolian nomadic lifestyle, traditions, fine arts, national design patterns, and depicting historic monuments such as deer stones, and rock paintings.
