Mongolia works to expand economic partnership. Mongolia is investigating and holding talks on establishment of economic partnership and free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Commission, the USA, Canada, the Republic of China, the Republic of Korea and some other regional countries. Mongolia signed the first bilateral economic partnership agreement with Japan past year. It envisages removing tariffs on about 96% of the combined total value of trade between the two countries over the next decade. Mongolia’s first economic partnership agreement opened up opportunities to join the regional economic integration and was significant contribution to enriching the nation’s Third neighbor policy with economic content.
