Mongolian and Chinese civil aviation expand relations. A delegation of the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia worked in Beijing and resolved the issue related to some Chinese flights crossing Mongolian airspace. It is believed to bring Mongolian and Chinese transportation relations to a higher level. China is the longest air-bordered neighbor of Mongolia. Mongolia shares six “air gates” with China. The sides discussed improving the usage of those six air gates and to study the opening of the new 7th Mongolian-Chinese air gate, as well as to introduce a Silk Road of the Air using Mongolian airspace. Also, a memorandum was signed to procure a “Harbin” Y-12 twin-engine turboprop from the AVIC International Aero Development Corporation, in order to conduct trial flights in Mongolia.
