Mongolia’s historical site Noyon Mountain is taken under special protection.
Mongolia’s historical site Noyon Mountain is taken under special protection. Parliament ran the final reading of resolution of "Taking Certain Areas under State Special Protection". With a 71 percent approval, the Noyon Mountain and its surroundings were taken under the protection. Having taken under the special protection, 11 thousand hectares of the area fell under the category of natural reserves and 405 hectares--under the category of historic landscape. The Noyon Mountain stores the tombs of Mongol nobles and other cultural findings dating back to the Hun Empire period in it.
