A conference highlighting the role of the Constitutions of Mongolia and India in building democratic societies was recently held in Ulaanbaatar. The event brought together legal scholars, students, religious leaders, and members of the Indian community to exchange insights on the importance of constitutional frameworks in shaping national development. The conference marked several milestones, including the anniversary of India’s Constitution, the birth of its principal architect, and 70 years of Mongolia-India diplomatic relations. Participants discussed how both nations’ constitutions have guided their democratic journeys and stressed the importance of continued legal and academic collaboration. Tributes were paid to key figures behind both countries’ constitutions, and participants proposed expanding cooperation into emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and space science.
