The President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa arrived in Tashkent, the Capital City of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for a State Visit, on June 23, 2024. The visit will last until 26 June. Signing of a number of bilateral documents is expected. The presidents will also meet representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan and Mongolia. At talks between president Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the head of Mongolia, issues of expansion of ties in different areas will be discussed. The visit aims to explore new opportunities for cooperation in various sectors, such as mining, agriculture, and tourism. The discussions are expected to result in agreements to boost trade and investment between the two countries. In addition to formal meetings, the visit will include cultural and diplomatic activities to promote mutual understanding and strengthen connections between Mongolia and Uzbekistan. This is the first State Visit by the Head of State of Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Uzbekistan on January 25, 1992.
