“Mazaalai” International Ice Festival will be held for the first time to boost winter tourism in Mongolia. A 50-meter-long ice rink, a 12-meter-wide, 22-meter-long ice slide designed to accommodate a large number of people, and a remarkable 56.4-meter-long snow sculpture will be built for the Festival, scheduled to be hosted at the “Sky Resort” ski resort. A distinctive feature of this Festival is that the event site will cover an area of 4000 square meters and can accommodate 400-500 people at once. The Festival aims to contribute to the protection and growth of this endangered bear species. The main attraction of the Festival will be a 5-meter-high ice sculpture depicting a Mother Mazaalai bear and her cubs. Furthermore, the event intends to secure a Guinness World Record by having the largest number of people slide down an ice slide simultaneously.
