The Immigration Agency of Mongolia has been digitalizing services to increase accessibility and streamline processes, reducing delays and the necessity for multiple in-person visits, since 2021. Previously, citizens had to visit the Agency 7 to 15 times, but now it is limited to two times, making services available online. The Immigration Agency of Mongolia has launched a new digital Alien Registration and Monitoring System. Through this system, foreign citizens and enterprises worldwide can access Agency services via the integrated DAN authentication system. The Immigration Agency of Mongolia will offer four services, including visa permission, application for a visa, application for residency in Mongolia, and 48-hour registration or temporary stay of foreign citizens, through its new online system from December 1 this year. Furthermore, seven services such as visa extension, changing the category of a residence permit, extending and canceling a residence permit, changing residency address, updating passport information, and recquiring lost or abandoned residence cards, will be available in the system in future. Additionally, by shifting to the new system, the Agency expands its services internationally and offers facilitated services, including information exchange through the "KHUR" system, offering all types of services in a single system, customer's direct control over decisions within the system, and paying fees online.
