President Khurelsukh Receives President of Friedrich Ebert Foundation

October 24 or this Tuesday, President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa received the President of the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, Germany, Martin Schulz on the occasion of the Foundation's 30th Anniversary in Mongolia. President Khurelsukh expressed his sincere gratitude to the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, one of Germany's oldest political foundations, for its support for democratic reforms in Mongolia and its active cooperation in enhancing citizen participation, strengthening civil society organizations, and promoting the participation of women and youth. He also expressed confidence that the Foundation would continue collaborating with Mongolia in fortifying social justice, parliamentary democracy, peace and security, and women's empowerment. President Martin Schulz of the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation thanked President Khurelsukh for his warm welcome and noted that this was his first visit to Mongolia. He emphasized that Mongolia and the Mongolian people have many reasons to look to the future with optimism. He also remarked on the optimism, open-mindedness, and self-confidence of the Mongolian youth he met during his visit and expressed his readiness to further cooperate with Mongolia to expand the Foundation's activities. Additionally, the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation was established in 1925 in accordance with the will of Friedrich Ebert, the first democratically elected President of Germany. Its work is guided by the three core values of democracy: freedom, justice, and solidarity.
