The government of Mongolia discussed and approved a draft resolution on some measures to be taken in Ulaanbaatar in connection with disaster prevention, disaster relief, urban planning and land use. The decree provides for the adoption of measures to develop drafts of the Land Package Law and other relevant laws to ensure the balance of human security, common interests, environment and ecology, green development, economic and social development in relation to master planning, land management, use and urban development of Ulaanbaatar and submission to the autumn session of the Parliament. The relevant ministers were instructed to develop a draft law on the functioning of the Agency for Land Management, Geodesy and Cartography within the powers of the Prime Minister and submit it to the Parliament along with the draft law on the budget for 2024. Until the adoption of bills and regulations, it was instructed not to make any decisions on the ownership or use of new lands within Ulaanbaatar. It was also instructed to study all issues of land ownership and use, the construction of buildings on special-purpose lands, public lands, roads and networks, forests and reservoirs and their protected zones, to organize measures to release land in accordance with relevant laws and rules.
