Daily flights to be conducted between Ulaanbaatar-Istanbul routes
In order to support the growing passenger traffic and tourism, the airlines of Mongolia and Turkey have agreed to operate up to 7 flights per week between Istanbul and Ulaanbaatar.
In order to support the growing passenger traffic and tourism, the airlines of Mongolia and Turkey have agreed to operate up to 7 flights per week between Istanbul and Ulaanbaatar, and up to 5 flights per week between Ankara and Antalya. The representatives headed by Mr. Erdenebat, adviser to the Minister of Road and Transport Development, and Mr. Munkhnasan, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, made this agreement during a meeting with the representatives of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Turkey on the 16th of this month. In this regard, the two parties have agreed that a number of air carriers will be assigned to fly between the two countries. At the meeting, the two sides agreed to make arrangements for flights to third countries through the arrangement of `Code sharing` or joint use of flight numbers. Therefore, `MIAT` Mongolian Airlines and `Turkish Airlines` will firstly operate flights to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Rome, Frankfurt, Washington, Chicago, Vienna, Warsaw, and Zurich under the arrangement of sharing flight numbers. Moreover, the Ministry of Road and Transport Development informed that the same arrangements will be made with other countries and it will create possibilities to travel to countries such as the United States at low prices.
