Mongolian judoka wins silver medal at Judo World Championships
Mongolian para judoka Turuunaa won a silver medal in the category of women’s J1 class -70 kilograms at the International Blind Sports Federation or IBSA Judo World Championship.
Mongolian para judoka Turuunaa won a silver medal in the category of women’s J1 class -70 kilograms at the International Blind Sports Federation or IBSA Judo World Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan. Moreover, judoka Turuunaa became the first Mongolian athlete to win a medal at the IBSA Judo World Championship which is held every 4 years. Over 200 athletes from 41 countries fought for the world title in eight categories for each class at the IBSA Judo World Championship in the Capital City of Azerbaijan. Nine judo athletes from Mongolia competed in the Championship. Additionally, at age 10, she suddenly lost her sight due to eye pressure, but she fought this problem for many years and devoted her heart to judo. Finally, she fulfilled her dream.
