Mongolia and Finland to cooperate in agriculture and forestry
The Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia met with the Under Secretary of State for International Trade and economic cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland
The Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia met with the Under Secretary of State for International Trade and economic cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland yesterday. At the meeting, the two sides discussed to cooperate in the fields of joint research and analysis of sustainable forest management and strengthening management capacity as well as exchanged views on climate change adaptation, forest conservation based on soil surveys and project initiation of sustainable forest management for restoration. Also, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding or MoU to cooperate in the forest sector with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland. The Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism highlighted that the establishing of memorandum of understanding will be a great support for the implementation of “Billion trees” national campaign.
