Speaker of Parliament Zandanshatar held a meeting with members of the temporary committee on Ulaanbaatar city development policy and capital city authorities. They discussed the implementation of the amendments to the Law on the Legal Status of Ulaanbaatar city that was approved on July 7 as well as works to be carried out in preparation for having the draft law on amendments to the Law on the Legal Status of Cities, Towns and Villages discussed at the autumn session. At the meeting, the Speaker highlighted the committee's role in ensuring the implementation of the Law on the Legal Status of Ulaanbaatar city, and organizing works in tackling the capital city’s pressing issues such as decentralization, traffic congestion, and tax reforms. Furthermore he also was informed about the progress of works being carried out by the temporary committee on Ulaanbaatar city development policy.
