Minister of Culture met with Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia to discuss the two countries bilateral cooperation and relationship.
Minister of Culture met with Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia to discuss the two countries bilateral cooperation and relationship. At the meeting, The Minister of Culture emphasized that Mongolia-Japan relations in the field of personnel training have reached a high level, while putting forth a request for the Government of Japan to increase the number of specialists involved in the ‘Advanced Training in Museum Studies’ program. The Minister also noted that the Ministry of Culture is actively working together with the Japanese side in acquiring the replicas or copies of the historical exhibits being kept in Japanese museums in connection with the forthcoming opening of the Chinggis Khaan Museum. The meeting also touched on the discussions and plans to hold joint cultural and artistic events during the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries which will be marked next year to further strengthen friendly relations. Moreover, the Minister informed the Ambassador that the new opportunities have been opened up for cooperation in the cultural sector thanks to the approval of laws in the sector, such as the Law on Culture, the Law on Cinematography Promotion, et-cetera.
