Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg visits National Library of Russia
On June 2, Minister of Foreign Affairs visited the National Library of Russia in St. Petersburg, Russia in the framework of her visit.
The Foreign Minister gave remarks at the opening ceremony for the exhibition themed, ‘100 years of Unbreakable Friendship between the Peoples of Mongolia and Russia’ being organized at the library. The ceremony was also attended by the Director-General of the National Library of Russia V.G.Gronsky, Deputy Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in St. Petersburg A.V.Olegovich, and Professor of the Department of Mongolian Studies at St. Petersburg State University V.L.Uspensky. The month-long exhibition presents various exhibits including archival documents, books, and artworks relating to the relations between Mongolia and Russia, and Mongolian studies in Russia. About 9,000 Mongolian books are kept in the collection of the National Library of Russia. On the same day, delegates led by Minister B. Battsetseg also became acquainted with the operations of the Honorary Consulate of Mongolia in the city of St. Petersburg.
