Foreign Minister holds bilateral meetings during St. Petersburg Int’l Economic Forum
inister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B.Battsetseg is participating in the 24th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, which was launched in Saint Petersburg, Russia on June 2.
Within the framework of her participation, Minister Battsetseg, on June 3, held a meeting with Viktoria Abramchenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and co-chair of the Russian-Mongolian Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in Trade, Economy, Science, and Technology. At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the implementation of some measures agreed at the online meeting of the Mongolia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission held in March 2021, and in which, they agreed to ensure preparation in advance to documents to sign during high-level visits planned in the near future. Moreover, the sides discussed issues of cooperation in energy, border points, social welfare, and environmental areas.
Afterward, Minister Battsetseg met with Ivica Dačić, President of the National Assembly of Serbia to talk about ways to strengthen the Mongolian-Serbian bilateral relations, in particular, cooperation between the parliaments and ministries of foreign affairs of the two nations. The sides agreed to pay attention to carrying out mutual high-level visits.
The Foreign Minister of Mongolia then held a meeting with Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Speaker of the Russian Federation Council. At the meeting, two sides shared views on intensifying parliamentary relations between Mongolia and Russia, works planned for the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations of the two countries, and deepening of partnership within the regional organizations.
