Labor Minister participates in SDG 16 Conference
H.E. Ariunzaya Ayush, Minister for Labour and Social Protection, participated as a speaker in the SDG 16 Conference, organized on April 28-30, 2021.
The Conference on SDG 16 'Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions' was organized jointly by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), and the Government of Italy, on April 28-30, 2021.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on SDG 16 as well as the transformative contribution of the Goal to accelerate progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development were discussed during the Conference.
Moreover, H.E. Ariunzaya Ayush gave a speech at the Plenary Session 3.2 “: SDG 16 as a framework for moving the 2030 Agenda forward: key national and international actions needed to tackle global challenges” on the last day of the conference.
Specifically, Her Excellency presented in regards of key activities for action in coming years to ensure progress on SDG 16, while using it as a lever to speed up recovery from the pandemic and move the 2030 Agenda forward, in addition to the effectiveness of e-governance for building an inclusive society for all.
