It was reported during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 158 new cases of COVID-19 detected after 17,044 tests performed nationwide in the past 24 hours. It means the highest number of cases within a day since the first locally confirmed case was recorded.
Of the newly confirmed cases, 149 were in Ulaanbaatar, seven in Khuvsgul aimag and two were in Tuv aimag, bringing the number of cases in rural areas to 358.
137 of the cases were those who were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, while sources of 21 cases are under investigation, reports J.Baigalmaa, Head of the Surveillance Department of the NCCD.
Currently, there are 1,201 people who are diagnosed with the virus are undergoing treatment, of which 1,075 are in mild, 115 are in serious, eight are in critical and three are in very critical health condition.
