Eight people infected with coronavirus in the capital city
As reported by the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), 8 people were diagnosed with coronavirus after performing PCR testing on 15,546 people nationwide on January 21.
All these cases were registered in Ulaanbaatar city and one of them was a doctor of the NCCD and others were close contacts of the previously confirmed cases, highlights A.Ambaselmaa, Head of Surveillance Department of the NCCD.
The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia now stands at 1592 with 1097 recoveries. 483 people are undergoing treatment at the NCCD, Military Central Hospital, State Central First Hospital, and 300-bed hospital of Khan-Uul district. 51 people have been cured in the last 24 hours and transferred into home isolation.
