Mongolia and Vietnam are to cooperate in the defense sector

The Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy discussed and supported the draft resolution on the intergovernmental cooperation between Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the defense sector. Mongolia has been broadening the bilateral relations with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the field of defense in addition to politics, trade, economy, and culture. The Defense Minister of Mongolia Enkhbold emphasized that expanding bilateral cooperation in the defense sector is significant to intensify mutual understanding at the regional level and strengthen the capacity of armed forces of the two countries. During his official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in November of last year, Defense Minister Enkhbold signed the draft resolution regarding intergovernmental cooperation. The Minister noted that the approval of the resolution will provide the legal environment for developing the cooperation in the defense sector and expand United Nations Peacekeeping training, interns, military hospital, military training, scientific researches and defense industry.
