Swiss rescue expert team works in Mongolia

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC) in Mongolia are collaborating on the second phase of the ‘Improving the National Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) capacities of Mongolia’ project. Under the project, a search and rescue training facility will be established and equipped at the NEMA Special Rescue Unit and instructors will be trained. To get acquainted with the project implementation progress and ongoing establishment of the facility, a SDC rescue expert team and senior specialists of China’s National Earthquake Response Support Service are working at NEMA and the National Rescue Brigade.
