The Fourth International Symposium on Asian Dinosaurs was organized by the Institute of Paleontology and Geology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. Around 80 researchers from 12 countries including Mongolia, Japan, China, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, and South Korea attended the conference to present the results of their recent studies and sharing new knowledge and information. After the conference, field training and joint research will be conducted in some fossil sites in the Southern province between July 26 and 29. In Addition, Mongolia is a country of dinosaurs and has a rich treasure of their remains. Those are among some of the finest in the world. It is remarkable that Mongolia is a homeland for the eight species of predatory dinosaurs of the twelve that have been recognized so far. The most famous discovery in the world was found in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia. The discovery was made by American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews in the 1920s. Many dinosaur fossils still lie exposed.
