Mongolia and EBRD review the investments

Prime Minister Khurelsukh received Alain Pilloux, Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Prime Minister Khurelsukh expressed his gratitude to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on spending EUR 1.7 billion for developing the private sector in Mongolia over the past 20 years. The sides agreed that the reconstruction of the road Ulaanbaatar-Darkhan, which takes an important position in cooperation, should be completed in the scheduled time. Moreover, the sides shared opinions on upgrading governance in the mining sector and cooperating in the areas of infrastructure, agricultural processing industries, farming, animal husbandry, energy, heat supply, and tourism in the future. The EBRD has made financing of EUR 70 million to Mongolia since the beginning of 2019 and several projects and programs will be carried out in rural areas, said EBRD Vice President Alain Pilloux.
