Mongolian students claim three golden medals at International English Language Olympiad
Three national secondary school students won gold medals at the Hippo English Language Olympiad.
Three national secondary school students won gold medals at the Hippo English Language Olympiad. The preliminary rounds of the Olympiad are held in the country and the final round was organized in Lido di Gesolo, Venice, Italy. A total of 32 thousand children from 40 countries participated in the preliminary round and only 164 were qualified to compete in the final round, 16 of which were Mongolians. Mongolia is participating in the Olympiad for the third year. Student of 12th grade of Sant school E.Burte-Ujin, students of 8th and 10th grades of Orchlon school B.Urangoo and B.Amur won first places in their respective age categories. E.Burte-Ujin was awarded with the certificate to attend the two-week program of the Missouri State University. Other students from Mongolian-Russian joint school, School No.84 and Sakura school have successfully participated in the Olympiad, winning the 4th, 5th and 6th places respectively.
