Mongolia’s president to pay state visit to China
President of Mongolia, Battulga is to pay his first state visit to the People’s Republic of China ahead of the 2nd Belt and Road Forum will be held in Beijing in late April.
President of Mongolia, Battulga is to pay his first state visit to the People’s Republic of China ahead of the 2nd Belt and Road Forum will be held in Beijing in late April. This year marks the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and 25th anniversary of renewal of Treaty on Friendly Relations and Cooperation. During the Presidential visit, talks on several issues are expected to be held with the Chinese side. In particular, it is expected to sign Mongolia-China Intergovernmental Agreement on Establishment of Economic Cooperation Zone in Zamyn-Uud south eastern Mongolia. The government has already submitted the draft bill to the Parliament. In addition, Minister of Foreign Affairs Tsogtbaatar paid a visit to the country at the beginning of April to ensure preparation of the state visit by the President. During the visit, the parties agreed to enrich bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership with new concept.
