The Western Pacific Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) organized a workshop under the theme, ‘Strengthening governance for health equity to advance the sustainable development goal

The Western Pacific Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) organized a workshop under the theme, ‘Strengthening governance for health equity to advance the sustainable development goals’, in Manila, Philippines. Head of the Policy Planning Department of the Ministry of Health R.Oyunkhand, Head of the Health Department of Khuvsgul aimag M.Uuriinbayar, Deputy Head of the Health Department of the Capital City L.Zendmaa, officer at WHO Representative Office in Mongolia E.Erdenechimeg and senior specialist at the Ministry of Health P.Oyuntsetseg attended the workshop. With Mrs. R.Oyunkhand as the chair for two days of the workshop, the team of representatives did a presentation on the current state of health equity and measures being taken in Mongolia and held a discussion.  Representatives of countries, such as Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines and China, also shared their experiences on health equity, introducing their plans for 2019-2020.
