Mongolian wrestlers win 15 medals from Ivan Yariguin Grand Prix
The team of wrestlers representing Mongolia won 2 gold, 2 silver, and 11 bronze medals, grabbing a total of 15 medals
The Grand Prix named after the famous Russian wrestler Ivan Yariguin took place in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. 187 athletes of 17 countries, such as Russia, Mongolia, USA, Cuba, Japan, Germany, and Turkmenistan tested their strengths in 10 weight classes. From the international wrestling tournament, the team of wrestlers representing Mongolia won 2 gold, 2 silver, and 11 bronze medals, grabbing a total of 15 medals.
While State Honored Athletes S.Battsetseg and S.Tserenchimed won the gold medals in the women’s 68 kg and 57 kg weight classes respectively, silver medals were grabbed by State Honored Athlete G.Mandakhnaran and E.Davaanasan in men’s 70 kg and women’s 68 kg.
The rest of the men’s team grabbed 5 bronze medals with N.Nasanbuyan, B.Batmagnai, E.Byambadorj, IM O.Uitumen and IM B.Ulziisaikhan placing 3rd place in men’s 57 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 86 kg and 92 kg weight classes, and the women’s team grabbed 6 more medals with IM E.Sumiya, B.Bolortuya, IM A.Battsetseg, IM Z.Bolortungalag, IM E.Delgermaa and State Honored Athlete O.Nasanburmaa winning bronze from the 53 kg, 55 kg, 59 kg, 65 kg, 68 kg and 72 kg weight classes.
