Mongolia to export live sheep, goats next year
The construction of a complex which is responsible for disinfecting male sheep and goats to be exported is now 50 percent complete.
Mongolia is planning to export live sheep and goats from the first quarter of next year, the government's press office said in a statement. The construction of a complex which is responsible for disinfecting male sheep and goats to be exported is now 50 percent complete. The complex covering an area of 600 hectares in Zamiin-Uud subdivision in the southeastern province of Dornogovi is expected to be commissioned within the first quarter of next year. According to the authorities, the complex will have the capacity to export about 5,000 sheep and goats per day. The work is part of the government's efforts to diversify its mining-dependent economy and support nomadic herders.
