Hakuho sets new record with 1000th victory in top division
Hakuho Sho or Davaajargal Munkhbat the 69th Yokozuna, the highest rank in sumo set a new record with the 1,000th victory in the top division beating Ozeki Goeido in the bout on the 14th day.

Hakuho Sho or Davaajargal Munkhbat the 69th Yokozuna, the highest rank in sumo set a new record with the 1,000th victory in the top division beating Ozeki Goeido in the bout on the 14th day. On the 15th day, Hakuho Sho beat Kakuryu M.Anand, a fellow Mongolian wrestler in the final bout, winning his 41st Emperor’s Cup. The yokozuna said that his achievement will inspire future sumo wrestlers and help them set greater goals.
