China to render aid of CNY 1 million to Bayan-Ulgii province
The assistance will be spent on developing the socio-economy and foreign relations of the province.
The Government of China is about to render assistance of CNY 1 million to Bayan-Ulgii province according to Governor of western-most province Gylymkhan.A. Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi informed it during his meeting with governors of western provinces of Mongolia held in Uvs province. The assistance will be spent on developing the socio-economy and foreign relations of the province. At the meeting, the views on restoring meat export, increasing capacity of border checkpoints, improving operations of the checkpoints as well as developing cooperation between border regions were exchanged. Governor Gylymkhan.A stressed that citizens of Bayan-Ulgii province used to travel to China through border crossings, including Taikeshken. Now, the citizens are traveling through Zamyn-Uud-Eren border checkpoints in recent years due to some problems, such as red tape and tax at the border crossings. In response, Minister Wang Yi assigned its corresponding officials to resolve the matters urgently.
