Mongolia-China-Russia forum focuses on Zamyn-Uud and Erenhot cooperation

A total of 38 companies from six regions of Russia and 800 companies from China participated in the event, and agreements worth USD 1.3 billion were made.

A regular ‘Mongolia-China-Russia Economic and Trade Cooperation’ forum was in Erenhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. Government delegates led by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Sanjmyatav.Ya and representatives of 130 member companies of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) attended the forum and presented their products at the expo organized within the event. A total of 38 companies from six regions of Russia and 800 companies from China participated in the event, and agreements worth USD 1.3 billion were made. Yanjinsuren.S, the adviser to Deputy Prime Minister, conveyed greetings of Enkhtuvshin.U, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and Head of Mongolian side to Mongolia-China and Mongolia-Russia Intergovernmental Commissions on Trade, Economy, Science, and Technology, to the Deputy Mayor of ErenhotGuoPinwang. During the forum, a special roundtable discussion on Economic Cooperation Zones in Zamyn-Uud and Erenhot was organized, at which Ganbold.Ts, the advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia in charge of the Free Zones, presented a detailed introduction on Mongolia's position on the establishment of joint zones along the borders of the two countries and the ongoing works in this regard. He noted that the process of establishing the economic cooperation networks based in Zamyn-Uud and Erenhot, which began in 2014, has intensified recently and the Government of Mongolia has endorsed Mongolia's proposal for the Intergovernmental agreement between the two countries and authorized relevant officials to start official talks with the Chinese side. During the discussion, Governor of Zamyn-Uud Free Zone Batnasan.I and Deputy Mayor of ErenhotGuoPinwang signed the document on intensifying agreement for cooperation region between People's Government of Erenhot and the Governor’s Office of Zamyn-Uud Free Zone.
