Mongolia to render humanitarian assistance to Japan
In regard with flooding disaster, President of Mongolia Battulga, Prime Minister Khurelsukh and Foreign Affairs Minister Tsogtbaatar have sent condolences to state and government heads of Japan.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Tsogtbaatar met with Masato Takaoka, Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia, informing that the Government of Mongolia is to render humanitarian aid of USD 100 thousand to Japan in conjunction with flooding disaster occurred in western Japan. Mongolians are deeply saddened by the loss of many lives and huge damage due to the disaster. During the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction which wrapped up a few days ago in Ulaanbaatar city, countries discussed overcoming disaster altogether. We again feel how our cooperation is important said the Minister and cited that all Mongolians sincerely want to give support to Japanese friends when they are having a difficult time. Ambassador Takaoka expressed his deep gratitude for the support of the Government of Mongolia and Mongolian people and remarked that it is an indication of the strong friendship of Mongolia and Japan.
