Boxers from 13 countries compete in Ulaanbaatar
The ‘Ulaanbaatar Cup 2018’ was organized on the occasions of the 70th year anniversary of the development of boxing sport in Mongolia.
The ‘Ulaanbaatar Cup 2018’ International Boxing Tournament in which boxers from 13 countries competed was held. Some 80 athletes from North Korea, Thailand, Iraq, Iran, Russia, India, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, China/Inner Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, and from Mongolia, 40 more athletes, divided into four teams, participated in the tournament. The ‘Ulaanbaatar Cup 2018’ was organized on the occasions of the 70th year anniversary of the development of boxing sport in Mongolia, the 30th year anniversary of Enkhbat.N's first bronze medal from the 1988 Seoul Olympic games, and the 10th year anniversary of Badar-Uugan.E’s gold medal and Serdamba.P’s silver medal from the 2008 Beijing Olympic games. Head judge of the tournament was appointed by the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and half of the judges were foreigners. The tournament admission was free for everyone.
