Advises on supplying goods from Mongolia to EU given

The EU TRAM project being implemented between 2017 and 2021 with funding of EUR 5 million is aimed at promoting economic growth and reducing poverty by increasing foreign trade and product types.

Organized for the first time under the EU Trade-Related Assistance to Mongolia (TRAM) project, an advisory day for Mongolian private enterprises which are supplying products to the European Union countries or plan to make export was held. Over 200 representatives of the public and private sector, universities and institutes attended the event with an exhibition of some domestic producers’ products. The EU TRAM project being implemented between 2017 and 2021 with funding of EUR 5 million is aimed at promoting economic growth and reducing poverty by increasing foreign trade and product types. In 2017, Mongolia exported to 19 out of 28 EU countries using General Scheme of Preferences (GSP) trade discount system with USD 687 thousand tax credit. Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia Traian Hristea said that the TRAM project will focus on the promotion of exports of Mongolia and usage of the GSP system.
