Khaan Quest starts
Since 2002, Mongolian troops have been actively participating in the peacekeeping missions of the UN to ensure peace in the world. 26 countries are taking part in the Khaan Quest 2018.
Khaan Quest is the annual Mongolian-hosted, combined, joint training exercise designed to strengthen the capabilities of the U.S., Mongolia and other partner nations in international peacekeeping operations. President of Mongolia and Commander-in-Chief of the Mongolian Armed Forces Khaltmaagiin Battulga delivered opening remarks at the “Khaan Quest”, which commenced at the Five Hills Training Area in Mongolia. The President of Mongolia ensured that Mongolia was the first nation to commence peace initiative in the world during Mongol empire noting that many centuries ago, Mongolians had established peace throughout Eurasia, and created the foundation of the modern world. In the years of the Mongolian peace (Pax Mongolica), trade network connecting Eurasia reinvigorated, the international postal system was created, cultural and knowledge exchange was actively taking place.
