Mongolia, Bhutan discuss ties
Minister D.Tsogtbaatar introduced several initiatives of the Ministry to be implemented in near future to Bhutanese side, mentioning that there is a possibility to expand cooperation in tourism sector
Mongolian Foreign Minister Tsogtbaatar Damdin met with his Bhutanese counterpart Damcho Dorji, who is attending Inaugural Intergovernmental Meeting of International Think-Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries in Ulaanbaatar. During the meeting, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar introduced several initiatives of the Ministry to be implemented in near future to Bhutanese side, mentioning that there is a possibility to expand cooperation in tourism sector. For his part, Minister Damcho Dorji expressed Bhutan's interest in broadening relations and cooperation with Mongolia in tourism, agriculture, health and cultural sectors. Additionally, Minister Damcho Dorji paid an official visit to Mongolia in September 2017. Mongolia-Bhutan relations have been intensifying since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 2012.
