With the aim of greatly reducing flight delays in order to benefit travelers, South Korea and China agreed to double-track a key air corridor between Incheon and Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia. The agreement to be implemented by the end of this year. The agreement will allow to establish a double-tracking that will cover 1,700 kilometers of the airway used by planes bound for Ulaanbaatar, the Middle East, Russia and Europe from East Asia, according to Seoul's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Among other benefits, the South Korean authorities noted that one-way traffic will improve the flow of planes and their safety. On the other hand, aviation experts argued that due to the large number of aircraft on the route and the need to keep them at a safe distance, delays are frequent at the airports.
