Speaker Enkhbold receives ambassador of Canada
At the meeting, the Speaker expressed the parliament's readiness to welcome members of “Canada-Mongolia Group in the Parliament of Canada.”
Speaker of Mongolian Parliament Enkhbold.M received David William Sproule, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Mongolia this Wednesday. At the meeting, the Speaker expressed the parliament's readiness to welcome members of “Canada-Mongolia Group in the Parliament of Canada” within the framework of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations which falls this year. "Trade and economic ties between Mongolia and Canada are developing mainly in the mining sector and we are keen to use Canadian technological achievements, learning from your country. “We will pay special attention to building and upgrading legal environment to develop the cooperation successfully," the Speaker said. Ambassador William Sproule then emphasized that this year also marks the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Embassy of Canada in Mongolia. He expressed his satisfaction with the interparliamentary relationships of the two countries then asked the Speaker as a Head of the Parliament to pay attention to augmenting investment, protecting investors’ interest, facilitating problem-solving as well as developing mutual understanding.
