Asian parliamentarians to convene in Ulaanbaatar
At the initiative of the UNFPA with support from the Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture, and Science, Asian Parliamentarians will convene in Ulaanbaatar in mid-June.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science Baatarbileg.Yo received United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Mongolia Country Representative Naomi Kitahara and discussed to organize a parliamentarians meeting in Mongolia. At the initiative of the UNFPA with support from the Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture, and Science, it has been scheduled that Asian Parliamentarians convene in Ulaanbaatar in mid-June to discuss Asia’s population and development issues. The forthcoming meeting will cover a wide range of topics such as migration, life expectancy, reproduction, employment and gender in Asia. The sides talked about the wide participation of representatives from the unicameral parliament of Mongolia - State Great Khural, Government of Mongolia, Ministries and agencies at the meeting. They also agreed to establish a working group to ensure the preparation of the meeting.
