‘Green Gobi Development’ Foundation to be established to boost eco-tourism
The Cabinet supported an initiative of the President of Mongolia on establishing ‘Green Gobi Development’ Foundation.
The Cabinet supported an initiative of the President of Mongolia on establishing ‘Green Gobi Development’ Foundation and assigned relevant ministers to co-work to implement green development policy and National Program ‘Mongolian Green Wall’. ‘Green Gobi Development’ Foundation will be established by merging ‘Mongolian Green Wall’ Foundation with ‘Mongolia-Kuwait Research Center’ which conducts researches in environment and tourism and training and promotional actions on eco-tourism development. Mongolian Gobi desert is the largest in Asia and the 5th largest in the world is one of the most attractive tourist destinations of Mongolia. It has numbers of unique faunas and floras going extinct and now it is critical time to protect the Gobi while promoting its beauty.
