Mongolia-EU cooperation expansion discussed
Co-chaired by Foreign Affairs Minister of Mongolia and Managing Director Asia and Pacific for the European Union External Action, Mongolia and the European Union held the Joint Committee Meeting.
Co-chaired by Tsogtbaatar, Foreign Affairs Minister of Mongolia and Gunnar Wiegand, Managing Director Asia and Pacific for the European Union External Action, Mongolia and the European Union held the Joint Committee Meeting in Brussels. Both sides highlighted that the legal environment to expand the scope of cooperation development with the EU and its member states has created since the entry into force of the EU-Mongolia Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) on November 1, 2017, and they agreed to approve an action plan for implementing the PCA in the near future. The parties also agreed to collaborate in directions of increasing involvement of Mongolian students and scientific institutions in the EU programs for education, strengthening Mongolia’s capability to hold international trade and investment talks and negotiations, protecting child’s rights and protecting environment and nature through creating zero-waste economic structure.
