Indian external affairs minister arrives in Mongolia on two-day visit
Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Sushma Swaraj arrived in Ulaanbaatar this Tuesday starting her two-day visit to Mongolia.
Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Sushma Swaraj arrived in Ulaanbaatar this Tuesday starting her two-day visit to Mongolia. In accordance with the visit, the 6th round of India-Mongolia Joint Consultative Committee meeting will be organized between Sushma Swaraj and Mongolian Foreign Minister Tsogtbaatar.D. The two ministers will review the projects under implementation such as Mongolia’s first oil refinery which is being built with the credit line of $1 billion. In 2015, India and Mongolia had signed a joint statement on Strategic Partnership.
Indian External Affairs minister will then pay courtesy calls on the heads of State and Government of Mongolia to further strengthen political, strategic, economic, educational and cultural ties. Mongolia and India have been developing a strategic partnership since 2015 when the first prime ministerial visit from India to Mongolia was paid. India and Mongolia have close cooperation in trade and economy, science, health, agriculture, culture, education, communication, and tourism. The two countries are also working closely to ensure security and curbing international crimes and terrorism.
