Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two nations since 1955, high-level visits are regularly paid between the two countries, including the most recent ones by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015 and President Pratibha Patil in 2011. From Mongolia to India, three presidential visits have been paid. Ms. Patil was the first Indian President to visit Mongolia in 23 years. As a result of her visit, two countries’ journalists were exchanged to expand media relations. Mongolia and India are good trading partners. Mongolia imports pharmacy products, veterinary medicines, automobiles and their parts and the bilateral trade has touched almost 17 million USD. Thus, the expansion current cooperation is expected to be flourished with the visit by Minister of External Affairs of India.
