Nigeria to learn from Mongolian agricultural experience. Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Mongolia. Nigerian ambassador said “The current government is working to develop the agricultural sector. However we lack experience on the matter and there are a lots to learn from Mongolia.” Then he expressed his willingness to study cashmere production, meat and dairy processing experiences and to explore opportunities for exporting food to Nigeria. Mongolian deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry mentioned that agriculture is the second largest sector in the economy of Mongolia, dominated by livestock farming and recognized worldwide by its cashmere products and therefore, Mongolia can share its experiences and practices in agriculture and light industry with Nigeria. The Nigerian Ambassador noted that the meeting set fundaments to the bilateral cooperation and that he will work hard to set relationships between the Ministries of Agriculture of the two countries.
