Mongolia has signed a visa-free agreement with Uruguay, allowing a 30-day visa-free travel to each other. The agreement was signed by Batmunkh Battsetseg, Mongolia's deputy minister of foreign affairs, and his visiting Uruguayan counterpart Ariel Bergamino. The deal envisages that diplomats and holders of official or ordinary passports from Mongolia and Uruguay could travel to the territory of the other contracting party without a visa for a maximum period of 30 days. "The agreement aims to promote people-to-people exchanges between our two countries, especially in the tourism sector," Battsetseg said. The visa-free agreement will come into force after ratification by the parliaments of the two countries.
