State digitization program to be launched in 2019
The program will promote online public services, create opportunities for offering one-stop service centers for citizens, and support public-private partnerships with IT companies.
The Information and Communications Policy Council, established in 2017 by Prime Minister Khurelsukh, held a consultative meeting with representatives from state organizations, banking, and financial institutions. The telecommunication companies discussed the 2019 launch of its program to create an online database for state services. The program will promote online public services, create opportunities for offering one-stop service centers for citizens, and support public-private partnerships with IT companies. Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat Zandanshatar, who chaired the meeting, stated, “This project, which will be launched on January 1, 2019, will look for technological opportunities to improve access to public services by creating opportunities for citizens to obtain essential state data online by simply downloading information, official documents, and letters with smartphones. In addition, together with the ADB, we launched a project to establish a central database where all data and information for the state's ministries will be collected and compiled.” added Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat Zandanshatar.
